The Egyptian Journal of Agronematology is a semiannually ( January-July), peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Society for Agronematology covering all aspects of plant nematology and entomogenous nematodes. Soil nematodes parasitizing snails and slugs are also considered. Manuscripts submitted to the Egyptian Journal of Agronematology should not have been previously published or be currently under consideration by another journal.
MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION
Manuscript PreparationBefore submission of the manuscript authors should consider the following rules :Manuscript must be typed in English on A4 paper, double -spaced throughout and with margins of 2.5cm. Authors should use Times New Roman 12 point size except the title ( 14 point size ) in writing the manuscript. All pages must be numbered consecutively. Manuscript should be supplemented with Arabic Abstract (optional). Pdf articles are not accepted.Manuscripts should be compiled in the following order:Title: The first page of the full manuscript must begin with brief, bold and centered title in 14 point size. The first letter of each main word must be capitalized.Name of author (s): The next line lists the authors, centered. Authors may spell out first names or use initial only.Author affiliations: Each institutional address should begin on a new line and should be numbered in order of appearance in the list of authors.Email of the corresponding author: The next line lists the email of the corresponding authorAbstract: The abstract should not exceed 350 words, should be one paragraph and free of references. It should indicate the objectives of the study, topics covered and a brief description of methods, results and conclusions. Abstract should be typed with single line spacing.Keywords: The list of key words begins with the indenting subheading. The keywords should be listed alphabetically and less than 10 words. Keywords may include binomial and common name of nematodes and hosts, experimental techniques (e.g. electron microscope, PCR) specific subjects( humidity, soil temperature) and other subject areas. Keywords should be separated by commas.Introduction: The introduction begins directly after keywords under the heading Introduction in capital letters, bold and centered on the page. It should give the background of the study. Authors should cite prior research from their own and other scientists. The introduction should end with a statement of the objectives of the research.Materials and Methods: The Materials and Methods begins directly after the Introduction under the heading Materials and Methods in capital letters, bold and centered on the page. The Materials and Methods should provide sufficient details including experimental design and statistical analysis. The first line of each paragraph should be indented and start with a subheading.Results and Discussion: Results and Discussion should be combined into a single section. The Results and Discussion begins directly after the Materials and Methods under the heading Results and Discussion in capital letters, bold and centered on the page. Results and Discussion should present the findings of the research supported by tables and figures and should be written in past tense. Authors are encouraged to give brief and not over-interpret their findings.Acknowledgments: The Acknowledgments ( optional) begins directly after Results and Discussion under the heading Acknowledgments in capital letters, bold and centered on the page. Acknowledgments should be brief as possible and include grant support and thanks to individuals.ReferencesReferences within the manuscript: Publications are cited using the name-year system e.g. (Oteifa, 1970) . In case of starting a sentence with author name, the year must be in parentheses e.g. Oteifa ( 1970) reported that….To cite a publication with two authors you can list both e.g.(Oteifa and ElGindi, 1985); three or more use et al. e.g. ( Oteifa et al., 1995). In case of multiple citations are listed in parentheses you have to arrange from oldest to most recent and separated by semicolons (Oteifa,1980; ElGindi,1989). For two or more articles by same author (s) you have to use letters e.g.(Oteifa,1992a,1992b)List of References: Articles or books published or are “in press” should be listed. References should be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the manuscript. All authors are listed in which they appeared in the original publication, with the surname, followed by initials, publication year, article title, name of journal (in standard abbreviation), volume, issue, starting page, ending page.Example: Hussey, R.S. and Barker, K. Footnotes are designated with superscript lower case letters. In the main text author (s) should spell out the word table and abbreviate figure to Fig.Abbreviations and UnitsUnits should be abbreviated according to the International System of Units (SI units) Example: meter=m; kilogram=kg; gram=g; hour=hrManuscript SubmissionThe authors are expected to present original works. Authors are responsible for recognizing and disclosing financial and other conflicts of interest that might bias their work. All manuscripts should be submitted via email: info@nemasociety.comPeer -ReviewAll manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by the editorial board and qualified reviewers. The handling fees are required to meet the maintenance of the journal. Authors of articles are required to pay a fair handling fee for processing their articles. However, there are no submission charges. Authors are required to make payment only after their manuscript has been accepted for publication.Publication chargesResearch articles and short communications: E.P. 500 (Egyptian ) and $ 100 (Foreign). Color figures will be reproduced in color in print and online free of charge.Extra reprintsA copy of the journal and 10 reprints will be provided to the main author.
